Materials you need:
Empty tin can or sturdy cardboard tube
decorative paper or fabric
Scissors
Glue or double-sided tape

Prepare the base: Choose an empty tin can or sturdy cardboard tube as the base for the pen holder. Make sure it's clean and doesn't have any sharp edges. If using a tin can, you can peel off the label and wash it thoroughly.
Measure and cut mulching material: Use a ruler to measure the height of the can or tube and add an inch or so. Cut a piece of decorative paper or fabric high and long enough to wrap around the circumference of the base.
Glue the covering material: Apply glue or double-sided tape to the back of the decorative paper or fabric. Starting at one end, carefully wrap it around the jar or tube, making sure it is smooth and aligned. Press firmly on the edge to secure it in place. Trim excess material if necessary.
OPTIONAL: Add Compartments or Dividers: If you prefer to add compartments or dividers to your pen holder, you can use extra tins or small containers. Measure the height of these smaller containers and cut them to fit the main bracket. Secure them firmly in place with glue or tape.
Let it dry: Allow the glue or tape to dry completely before using the pen holder. This will ensure that the covering material is firmly attached.
Decoration (optional): You can further personalize your pen holder by adding decorative elements. For example, you can attach ribbons, stickers, or beads to enhance their look.
Once the pen holder is finished and dry, you can place it on your desk or anywhere you need to organize your pens and other stationery.
