Cleaning a dirty pencil case is fairly easy. Here's what you can do:
Empty the contents of the pencil case- Before you start cleaning the pencil case, empty all the contents and check if any of them need cleaning or discarding.
Shake it out- Give the pencil case a few good shakes outside or over a bin to remove any loose dirt, dust or debris.
Hand wash- Fill a sink or a basin with warm water and add a small amount of mild soap or dishwashing liquid. Immerse the pencil case in the soapy water and use a soft-bristled brush or sponge to gently scrub away any stains and marks. If the pencil case is excessively dirty, you can let it soak in the water for a few hours or overnight.
Rinse- Once you have scrubbed away all the dirt, give the pencil case a thorough rinse under running water to remove all the soap residue.
Dry- Once the pencil case has been rinsed, shake it out to remove any excess water. Then, lay it flat on a clean towel or hang it upside down to air dry. Don't put the pencil case into the dryer, as the high heat can damage it.
Re-pack- Once the pencil case has completely dried out, you can put all your stationary items back in it.
By following these simple steps, you can have your pencil case looking clean and new again.
